Llandow Circuit
Thanks to the generosity of the team at Llandow Circuit, Speed of Sight can provide our life-changing driving experiences at their racetrack in South Wales. Our core philosophy is that disability doesn’t mean inability and access to the Llandow Circuit allows us to give visually impaired people the opportunity to speed around the track, feeling the wind in their hair!
Originally an airfield used in World War II, Llandow was decommissioned in 1957 before being reopened in 1963 as a one-mile oval track. The track lost its race license in 1977 and it wasn’t until 2001, after having the track reshaped and widened, that it regained its license. Since then, Llandow has been open for motorsports, track days, and driving experiences, and has recently been resurfaced to ensure it meets the Motorsport Association Sprint Standard.
Experiences Available
Llandow has a huge variety of activities for all ages, so there’s something for everybody. In 2012 the track began offering supercar driving experiences and now boasts a wide range of supercar-based activities on offer in classic models from Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porshe, Aston Martin, and more!
- Supercar Blast
The Supercar Blast is available to those of age 17+, allowing them to get behind the wheel of their chosen turbo-boosted supercar for a distance of three miles around Llandow track. The package includes a full safety brief and an individual driving experience certificate to take home with you, making it the perfect gift for birthdays, Christmas, or Father’s Day. The Supercar Blast is available as a single package or you can mix and match up to six different supercars, giving you full control over your experience!
- Supercar Thrill
The Supercar Thrill packages are for those who want to hit the tarmac but know they won’t be able to stop after just three miles! Also available to customers aged 17+, the Supercar Thrill offers a more substantial experience with double the distance, meaning customers will spend six miles in each of their chosen supercars. Like the Blast packages, Supercar Thrill is available up to six different supercars, giving you total freedom over how much you want to take from your supercar driving experience.
- Junior Supercar Drive
For those who haven’t quite reached their 17th birthday, don’t fret! Anybody between the ages of 12 and 16 can still enjoy the thrill of a controlled drive in their favourite supercar! With guidance from an expert instructor, your child will enjoy three miles around the track in up to three of their chosen supercars! Also available to under 12s who exceed the 5ft height requirement.
