You could say that the Speed of Sight team are just as excited as our racers as we simply can’t wait for every track event that we organise to start! After all, seeing the smiles on all of our participants as they speed around the race track with the wind in their hair is the only thanks we’ll ever need because we know that our small but mighty mission is helping change lives.
In a world where people with disabilities are often told ‘no’, it is our aim to create an inclusive environment where there are no limitations on what a person can do. The Speed of Sight team firmly believe that a disability does not mean an inability which is why our adapted race cars and buggies have been designed to allow all of our racers to take full control of the vehicle on the race track and get the full experience of driving – something that they may never be able to do on real roads like you and I. Of course, safety is of the utmost importance which is why all of our racers will be accompanied by Speed of Sight personnel at all times and wear a helmet throughout their racing slot.
There’s a reason why our driving days are so popular and places are often snatched up pretty quickly! Luckily, the Speed of Sight team will be returning to the Teesside Autodrome in Middleborough on September 6th and 7th so there’s yet another opportunity to give someone special a life changing experience they’ll certainly never forget anytime soon!
Our access to the Teesside Autodrome race track means that we’ll be able to bring you a fun-filled day of racing and you’ll be given a slot for your very own whizz around the 2.1km track at some point too! Featuring fast straights, an up-hill section and tight bends, the Teesside Autodrome is definitely the place to be for racing.
The event will take place between 10am and 4pm on both days so check out our upcoming events page to book yourself a slot before spaces run out. If you’re already planning to join us at either of these track days then the Speed of Sight team simply can’t wait to meet you!
