Volunteering: the heart of Speed of Sight

Time is precious. How often do we hear people say that they are busy and do not have enough time. That is why Speed of Sight is so thankful to the many volunteers who not only give of their time but also of their skills, energy and enthusiasm. To run a track day there are volunteers who set up/pack up, instruct, marshall, use their mechanical skills, photograph, promote on social media, make people welcome, complete paperwork, assist into cars – the list goes on. It is a great team effort and almost all the team are volunteers. People working together to provide life-changing driving experiences.
In addition to volunteers who help on track days there are many others who work to make sure the charity functions: advisers, support with practical tasks, fantastic fundraisers, Aycen garage provide free labour on the track cars, promotion on social media, regular givers, advocates and leads to potential corporate supporters, people who manage collection pots
Speed of Sight is indeed a large family of volunteers and simply could not function without these amazing people, giving of themselves for the benefit of others.
“Volunteers do not necessarily have the time: they just have the heart”
