200mph Achieved - History Made!

Wednesday, August 13, 2014 200mph Achieved - History Made!

Mike Newman has finally achieved his long standing ambition to become the first blind person in history to drive solo over 200mph and as such has now gained his 6th Guinness land speed record, driving a Litchfield LM1 RS and reaching an average speed of 200.9mph along the airstrip of Elvington Airfield located in York on the 13th August 2014.

Mike and the team would like to thank all our sponsors and supporters without whom this record would not have been possible, with special thanks to Scan Computers, NVIDIA, Endless, Litchfield Motors, Casio, BDG Products, BDG Automotive, Datron Technology, Hedcamz, Jigsaw Medical, Freeway School Of Motoring and all the staff at Elvington Airfield.
